About Ludo
Roll. Race. Send them home.
Ludo is the four-colour race everyone grew up arguing over, kept exactly as chaotic as you remember. Each player runs four tokens around a cross-shaped track and up their own home column, but nothing leaves base until you roll a six, and any token caught on an open square gets sent all the way back. Play it against the CPU or hand the device around for local pass-and-play with two to four players — the dice decide the pace, but who you chase and when you stay put is entirely on you.
How to play Ludo
- Pick vs CPU or pass-and-play and 2–4 players, then tap ROLL on your turn.
- You need a six to move a token out of your base. Rolling a six also grants another roll.
- Land exactly on a rival token (off the star safe-squares) to send it all the way back to base.
- Loop the board and climb your colour’s home column. Get all four tokens home to win.
Tips & strategy
- Spread out rather than sprinting one token home — a single runner is easy to hunt, while four spaced tokens give you a legal move on almost every roll.
- The star squares are safe, so treat them as stepping stones and plan your rolls to end on one whenever a rival is within six squares behind you.
- A six is worth more than six steps: it also grants another roll, so weigh breaking a new token out against advancing one already in danger.
- Late in a game, keeping one token parked just behind a rival’s home entry is often worth more than racing — the threat alone forces bad decisions.
