About Split Brain

Two games. Two thumbs. At once.

Split Brain is a coordination stress-test that asks each hand to play a completely different game at the same time. Your left thumb keeps a bouncing dot alive so it never touches the top or bottom, while your right thumb taps glowing targets before their timers expire. Doing either alone is trivial; doing both together is where your brain quietly falls apart — which is exactly the point. You are scored on the seconds you survive, and practice genuinely barely helps.

How to play Split Brain

  1. LEFT side: tap to push the dot up so it never hits the top or bottom.
  2. RIGHT side: tap the glowing target before its timer runs out.
  3. You must do BOTH at the same time. Your brain will hate this.
  4. Survive as long as you can. Practice barely helps — that's the point.

Controls

Tips & strategy

  • Set a steady left-hand rhythm first, then layer the right-hand taps on top of it.
  • Don’t stare at the target — keep your gaze centred and use peripheral vision for both sides.
  • When you feel overwhelmed, prioritise the bouncing dot; a dropped target only costs points, a dropped dot ends the run.
  • Treat the two sides as one rhythm rather than two jobs. Pick a tempo where a left-hand bounce and a right-hand tap alternate predictably and your hands stop competing for attention.
