About Basket Toss

Lead the moving basket. Sink the shot.

Basket Toss is a drag-and-release shooter about leading a moving target. You pull back from the ball to set the angle and power, a dotted line previews the arc, and then you have to throw where the hoop is going to be rather than where it is. Streaks are where the real scoring lives: consecutive swishes stack a bonus and push the pace up, so the game turns into a balance between the safe, high, floaty shot and the flat, fast one that keeps your rhythm alive.

How to play Basket Toss

  1. Drag back from the ball and release to throw it in an arc — the dotted line previews your shot.
  2. Longer drags throw harder and flatter; the ring around the ball shows your power.
  3. The hoop slides side to side, so lead your throw ahead of where it’s going.
  4. Sink shots to build a streak for bonus points — it speeds up the more you make.
  5. Each miss costs a life. Miss 3 and it’s game over.

Tips & strategy

  • Lead the hoop by roughly the time your ball spends in the air — high arcs need more lead than flat ones, which is the whole trade-off.
  • Shoot when the hoop is near the end of its travel and about to turn back; it is momentarily slow there and much easier to predict.
  • Higher, softer arcs drop more vertically through the ring and forgive small aiming errors. Use them to protect a long streak.
  • You have three lives, so treat the first miss as information about the current speed rather than a disaster, and adjust your lead immediately.
